Canadian Pony Club Quiz

If you had told me at the start of 2023 that I would go from never being on a plane to flying three times over just over three months, I would have never believed you.

I was very excited to attend my first Canadian Pony Club Quiz Nationals!

I was on a team of 4 members from the Alberta North Region and since we placed first at our regional quiz, we were allowed to represent ANR at Nationals!

Cutting it close:

There are people who talk about missing their flight or just making it under the wire, and that happened to us on the way out to B.C.! After leisurely grabbing some pizza to go in the airport we realized that we had to hustle to make our flight. People must have thought we were crazy running through the airport, pizza boxes in hand! We just breezed through the gate and the doors closed!

We made it and I can't tell you how amazing my trip was!

I had never been to quiz before so everything was a new experience. I learned a lot about quiz, and about myself and my learning style. I know I am not academically inclined but I was super proud of how well I knew my tack at the ID stations!

I met new people from across Canada and had so much fun! I hope to qualify again next year so I can go back!
