Alberta North Region Quiz

Unfortunately, when I attended the ANR Quiz last year, I was feeling really under the weather. If I am honest, being at the Quiz was the last place I wanted to be that day. There must have been other kids who felt the same as me and actually stayed home, as our C group of competitors ended up having four members in total. In the end, it worked out for me, as it meant I was able to move on to the National Quiz last fall.

Quiz was not my strong event in Pony Club, but I enjoyed going to Nationals so much that I really wanted to try my hand at going again. This year, I prepared and studied for our competition more than I did last year. I felt really good knowing that when I placed first in both my individual and my team, I had gone from last place to first place over the year.

I am only sharing that because I want other kids to know that sometimes it takes being in last place to fuel your fire to climb to the top. I studied hard, and it was worth it. The next time you don't place the way you wanted or things don't seem to be going great, don't give up!

Also, Fal is home from the city and I really am so happy to have him back in the pasture where I can selfie with him, every single day!
