November 2024 Diary
November was filled with exciting milestones and memorable experiences! I started planning my summer trip to Portugal and celebrated the approval of the Youth Leadership and Ambassadorship Program for Alberta North’s Pony Club youth reps—2025 is going to be amazing! From visiting the U of C’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to our first Youth Rep Hangout and the Spruce Meadows Christmas Market, November was truly inspiring and festive.

November Highlights: Big Plans, Learning Adventures, and Holiday Cheer

November was a month of exciting developments, new beginnings, and a touch of holiday magic. From planning for the future to diving into inspiring learning experiences, it’s safe to say November kept me on my toes!

Dreaming of Portugal

This month, I officially started preparing for my upcoming trip to Portugal next summer. It’s hard to believe it’s finally happening, and I’m so excited to begin making plans for what promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I can’t wait to share more as the plans come together! Exciting News for Alberta North Youth Reps

November also marked a huge milestone for the Alberta North Region’s youth representatives. The Youth Leadership and Ambassadorship Program (YLAP) I’ve been working on was officially approved by the region’s board! This means 2025 will be an incredible year for our youth reps, with exciting new opportunities and initiatives on the horizon. I can’t wait to see how this program helps empower our youth reps to grow into confident, capable leaders.

A Day at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

As part of my Pony Club journey, I headed to Calgary for a fascinating trip to the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. It was such an eye-opening experience to learn about veterinary care at such a high level. From hands-on demonstrations to hearing from passionate professionals, the day was packed with insights and inspiration. It was a great reminder of how much there is to learn in the equestrian world, both in and out of the saddle.

Youth Rep Hangout

Next up was our first-ever Youth Rep Hangout, and it was a total success! Daniel, a friend I met during the Alberta Equestrian Awards Gala, joined us to share his story of competing in the FEI at just 17 years old. Hearing about his journey was so inspiring, and it gave our youth reps a glimpse of what’s possible when you work hard and dream big. The session was full of energy, excitement, and plenty of questions—a great way to kick off what I hope will be many more hangouts to come.

Spruce Meadows Christmas Market

To round out the weekend, I stopped by the Spruce Meadows Christmas Market. As always, it was full of holiday cheer and amazing finds. I stocked up on some old favourites from the shops and discovered a few new treasures that I’m excited to share with friends and family. There’s nothing quite like the magic of Spruce Meadows during the holidays!

November was a month to remember, filled with growth, learning, and celebration. Here’s to carrying all this momentum into December and beyond—the best is yet to come!
