2025: January – April Recap — New Adventures, Big Milestones & Lots of Mittens
November was filled with exciting milestones and memorable experiences! I started planning my summer trip to Portugal and celebrated the approval of the Youth Leadership and Ambassadorship Program for Alberta North’s Pony Club youth reps—2025 is going to be amazing! From visiting the U of C’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to our first Youth Rep Hangout and the Spruce Meadows Christmas Market, November was truly inspiring and festive.

A look back at the first few months of 2025 filled with learning, milestones, family time, and exciting new experiences.

Wow — what a start to 2025 it’s been! The first few months of this year have been packed with learning, celebrating, creating, and representing. I can’t believe how much has already happened — here’s a little peek into my journey so far:

Alberta North ABC Theory Camp

The year kicked off with an amazing opportunity to attend the Alberta North ABC Theory Camp. It was such a great way to dive into the new year — learning, growing my knowledge, and connecting with others who share my passion. Every time I attend these camps, I walk away feeling inspired and even more excited about the future.

I turned 18

A huge milestone — I officially became an adult this year. It's hard to believe, but I am so excited for what this new chapter brings. There’s something pretty special about celebrating your 18th surrounded by friends, family, horses, and all the people who make this journey so meaningful.

Winter Wrapped Up Beautifully

As winter slowly came to an end, I soaked up every moment. There’s something so magical about those final snowy days before spring takes over. I feel so lucky to live in a place where every season brings its own beauty and rhythm — and yes, plenty of cozy moments too.

Time with Gma

One of the highlights of these months has been spending extra time with my Gma. Whether it’s sharing stories, laughs, or just enjoying each other's company — these are the moments that mean the most and create memories I’ll always treasure.

Custom Mitts — Made by Me

I got a little creative this winter and made myself a pair of custom mitts. It was such a fun project, and now I get to wear something that’s both cozy and completely one-of-a-kind. There's nothing quite like putting your own personal touch into something you can use every day. What makes it even better and the mittens so special is that it was Gma who helped me learn how to make them. I love them and the memories they hold.

Alberta North Region Youth Rep — Horse Expo

I had the incredible honour of attending the Horse Expo as the Youth Representative for the Alberta North Region. It was such a great experience to represent our region, meet so many passionate people, and share my love for horses with others. Being part of this community means so much to me, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to give back and be involved.

ANR Regional Quiz Success

One of my favourite moments this spring was competing in the Alberta North Region Quiz. I was so excited to place first as an individual, and even more proud of my amazing team for placing second — by just 0.04 of a percent! It was such a close competition and a great reminder of how much hard work and teamwork can accomplish.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me on this journey — from family and friends to my amazing sponsors and cheerleaders. I couldn’t do it without you. Stay tuned — there’s so much more to come as 2025 continues to unfold—the best is yet to come!
