I was so excited to be able to attend the Alberta Association of Agricultural Societies annual convention for the second time this year. I met a magician there named Roger that I spent a lot of time talking with. He was an elite competitive swimmer when he was younger and has done some coaching since he no longer competes. We discussed mental preparation for a competition while you are at home. I found the ideas he gave me very interesting, and I have been implementing them with anticipation of our first competition after using his suggestions.
I always have fun at AAAS. I am by far the youngest person there, but all the adults always make me feel very welcome. Someone always is willing to brave the cold with me and walk around the building, as I am under 18 and can't cut through the casino from the hotel to get to the convention centre.
Opal and I have been happy the weather has cooperated this month. We are busy preparing for the season's first show at the end of next month. Our entries are in already. I can't wait!
I also had my virtual lesson with Lucy this month. She took my stirrups away while I rode a 1.0M course. I am not going to downplay how sore my abs and legs were the next day! It was awesome!
We are also busy getting ready for my France trip! The most exciting development has happened, and I can't wait to share the news, but for now, you will have to be distracted by my suitcase!
This will be my first time flying. There are so many things I never even thought about that I would need to be ready for my trip. It seems so far away still, but I understand why mom has been making a checklist and getting some of the things ready so early, like my new luggage. If I could insert a big floating heart here, I would. If a suitcase could tell the world who you are, I think mine is a fantastic representation of all things Dolly!

Until next month,
Love, Dolls
