Back in January, I received a very exciting email from our Provincial Association letting me know that I had won the 2023 Sportsmanship Excellence Award!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, I asked my barn bestie to travel to Calgary for the Awards Gala, and we had a great weekend!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It did start off a little rocky when typical Alberta weather had my mom telling us that we making a change to our plans and leaving late Friday night to beat the storm she was sure would have kept us home the following day. I think she made the right call because we started driving into it around 11 pm that night. I was really happy when we pulled off the highway and checked into our hotel for the night.
