The month started with Falcom\u2019s very first horse show, and what an introduction it was! Not only was it his first time in a busy show environment, but a driving competition was also happening at the same venue. Talk about sensory overload! Between the carriages, the bustling crowds, and all the excitement in the air, it could\u2019ve been a lot for a baby horse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But Falcom surprised me. He handled the atmosphere with such maturity, taking everything in stride. Of course, there were moments when his eyes got a little wide (who wouldn\u2019t, with carriages zipping by?), but he stayed focused and worked hard for me. It was such a proud moment seeing how far he\u2019s come already.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Off to Regional Rally Camp<\/strong> One of the highlights of camp was his first time on the cross-country course. He got to tackle his first water jump, which is always a big moment for a young horse, and he did it like a pro. It\u2019s such a thrill to feel your horse trust you and take on something completely new with confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Camp also gave him a taste of the full competition experience: a dressage test, show jumping, and everything in between. By the end of the week, Falcom was very, very<\/em> tired (and let\u2019s be real\u2014I was too!), but he handled it all so well. Spending a week at camp with so much activity was a lot for him, but I\u2019m so proud of how he rose to the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A Special Stop Along the Way<\/strong> Baby Jane is absolutely perfect, and I am already head over heels in love with her. I can\u2019t wait to spoil her rotten, and if I\u2019m being honest, I may have already started looking at ponies for her. After all, it\u2019s never too early to love horses, right?<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n June was full of love, growth, and so many moments that I\u2019ll cherish forever. At the end of the month, we packed up and headed to Regional Rally Camp with Pony Club. This was another huge milestone for Fal\u2014it was his first time experiencing so many new things, and he truly stepped up to the challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As if the week couldn\u2019t get any more memorable, my oldest brother and his wife welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world right before we left for Rally Camp!
