Today is the last day of January. I feel so in awe that the first month of 2016 has already passed. There are so many days that I have no recollection of what those 24 hours contained other than that it was just an ordinary day.
Ordinary days. Our lives are full of them. Days that we fill doing the things that consist of the mundane. But I have come to realize that those simple days that don’t stand out in our own history books as the days we did something extraordinary are the most important. These are the days that fill the folders inside our memory with life experiences. My days are happy days. I am fortunate to be blessed with amazing family and friends to fill the time and share my moments. Thank you to all the people who spent time with myself and my kiddos this past month. We are grateful for you and your influence in our lives!
January
- we moved our new to us piano from Grand Prairie to our place. Special friends helped us move it in.
- Raceboy83 is on the mend from dislocating his shoulder again on Christmas Eve.
- Dolly finally gets to send Lux to Jess. Planning has begun on which weekends she can travel south to train and attend some shows.
- my amazing neighbours took Dolly riding while they were roping.
- Pony Club evaluations were held in Lloyd. If you want to know about the Cross Border Pony Club visit the facebook page here.
- Raceboy82 asked an old riding friend to be his grad escort. I can’t believe I will only have Dolly at home next year.
- Grandma and Grandpa Temp left us for warmer weather. We were happy for their return!
- the Heartfelt workshops were held here at the studio. It is so fun to make new friends and visit with old ones!
Dolly counts her pennies. She is so excited to send Lux to Montana to start his training with Jess.
Dolly has her first lesson on a piano given to us by my Uncle and Aunt.
So many people have such a bad perception of homeschooling. I wonder if they could look into the real lives of those who homeschool and see how many hours we get to spend with our children, building strong foundations, if they would still feel the same.
I started a Get in Frame project. I feel it is important for my kids to have images of us together. Being a single mom, there are not a lot of images taken of us together other than selfies. I hate selfies. I want pictures that tell a story.
