Hello Friends,
I hope you are doing well during these challenging times. This past month has been a real kicker for me. I had events lined up to photograph, horse shows to be at with Dolly and was generally excited that possibly I would be busy with a fair this summer, which the fair has yet to be decided and time is running out for a decision. When we heard the news that we would be heading into more restrictions I needed to take some time away from things. I have been a very minimal presence on my social accounts, but not to worry, I am coming back.
Whatever life throws at me, I pick up my camera as a therapeutic way to express myself. The days over the last month are no different – I want to capture all the bits that make my life mine.
I find meaning in life’s little incidental gifts. It can be taking photographs of the plants in my garden. Or, my first cup of coffee in the morning while enjoying morning’s first light warm my skin through the window. Or, my kids enjoying the farm. Not every picture needs to be perfect or of the highest standards. They are a documentation of days and as we all know our days are far from perfect.
So, whatever you enjoy around your home, why not photograph it? During this time we are social distancing, or on lockdown, I hope you find therapy through your camera as well.
