Don’t we all have memories that are some of the best ones we can recall?
I would think that as these Pony Clubbers get to be adults, looking back on the tremendous amounts of fun they had at Pony Club would be some of their fondest childhood memories.
I was first introduced to the Pony Club when Dolly was little. There was talk of forming a club in Lloydminster, but nothing concrete had happened yet. It wasn’t long, and the club was up and running, and we had jumped in with both feet. Dolly was a member, and later I joined as a Horse Master for a year.
We were hooked. We love it.
This is an area rich with 4-H clubs that are amazing (some of them Dolly has been a member of)!
I would recommend 4-H to anyone looking for any activity for their kids, but Pony Club, I would tell you to run, not walk, to registration day. The amount of horse knowledge the kids learn truly is tremendous. The structure of Stable Management as well as the riding lessons is perfect for littles who love horses.
This year it was decided that a picture day would be a fun addition so that the kids could have trader cards, much like the hockey kids do. We took all the images of the kids in a matter of minutes and I can’t believe how well the cards turned out. They were so fun that I had a hard time delivering them to their owners!
