I was asked the other day what an Equestrian Influencer was.
The person asking the question had the impression that an influencer had celebrity status OR wanted loyal fans on their social media.
Yes, if you were to lookup an Influencer in the dictionary, it would describe someone with the power to affect the members in their audience or following because of the knowledge and relationship with that audience.
AND…
It would describe someone with a distinct niche, whose following is determined by that topic niche’s size. The person actively engages with, knows their niche and is an everyday ambassador like you and me.
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN TO ME?
Simply that there is a new type of influencer to gain recognition in the Social Media Influencers’ world.
Influencers with a small number of followers, often less than 1,000, but those followers are interested and willing to engage with the Influencer. This is an important idea for Equestrians wanting to become an Equestrian Influencer.
Being a Micro or a Nano Influencer will allow you to build a brand around a small but loyal following. This will allow your followers to be a part of a tight community, and let’s face it, when you have a group of like-minded people with a shared interest all with each other’s backs, things happen.
To come full circle, what is an Equestrian Influencer?
An Equestrian Influencer is you and I, and together we can build you an audience that is your own personal cheering squad…so shake your pom-poms because a good cheerleader is not measured by the height of their jumps but by the span of their spirit.
